General Description:

ISI was asked to provide a competitive bid for the design, supply and erection of this structure and was awarded the project after coming in as low bid against 3 other firms.  Although it wasn't a large building, ISI needed to work closely with the consultant to insure that all of the interior components would fit and be able to operate efficiently.  Scheduling and safety were major components of this project as ISI erection crews had narrow timelines where they could work to insure that the trains could continue to operate in a safe and timely manner.            

Design Highlights:

• 40' wide x 60' long x 28' high and consists a single slope frame design.
• The roof and wall assemblies are screw down assemblies and needed to be designed for a Open wind condition.
• All of the primary steel was hot dipped galvanized and the secondary steel was pre-galvanized.
• Structure was designed to accept a 5 ton Jib Crane.
