Frame Optimization:
Each building is unique and based on the climatic data in the proposed area, optimizing the building layout and frame design can have a dramatic affect on the bottom line.
Building Envelope:
Proper wall and roof assemblies are crucial to how a building performs and can have a significant affect on the budget. ISI's knowledge of the new Energy Code requirements in combination with our knowledge and experience with traditional and new product offerings, allows us to produce designs which meet our clients specific needs.
Tender Review:
In Canada most architects and consultants are not familiar with pre-eng design standards and practices. This often times leads to multiple addendums during tendering, expensive change orders once construction begins and project start delays and or cancellations due to projects being over budget. ISI works with architects and consultants to prepare technical documents that are essential to the tendering process. It allows a tenderer to submit its bid based on clear and detailed technical documents; above all, it enables the client to compare bidding contractors on an equal basis.
Constructability and Budget Reports:
Sometimes what looks good on paper may not be practical on-site or align with the budget. ISI will test each design and provide reports to ensure it is within budget and can be constructed efficiently.

At ISI we produce our own detailed drawings which allow the architectural design to advance simultaneously with the steel shop drawings and steel fabrication. ISI has proven that producing these design drawings can reduce the schedule by months and virtually eliminate costly change orders.
