General Description:

ISI was involved with this project from the initial conception.  Trinistar along with their design consultants provided ISI a basic floor plan and design concept for this 50,000 S/F Indoor Soccer Facility.   From the initial concept ISI was tasked to provide a cost effective solution which would have an aesthetically pleasing appearance. 

This project had many challenges including the schedule, which was tight in order to be operational for the start of the indoor soccer season.  By producing design drawings, ISI was able to put the design into fabrication before the architectural drawings were complete which fast tracked permit retrieval and the overall design approval process. 

Design Highlights:

• The Pitch portion is a 150' clear-span, single slope frame design with a standing seam roof assembly. 
• The Amenities section of the building was designed as a two storey, lean-to frame design with a flat, built-up roof assembly which supported all the roof top mechanical units.
• For the wall assembly ISI provided a custom, Horizontal 7/8 Corrugated Panel which was backed by an insulated panel assembly to meet the SB-10 thermal requirements.  The ISI design drawings also detailed the framing assembly required to integrate the Concrete Precast, Aluminum Panel and Curtain Wall Glazing. 
• The Pitch portion was designed to allow for a full field playing surface or to be divided into 3 fields by dropping full height curtains which are supported by the clear span rafters.  The wall framing not only supported the exterior wall assembly but needed to be designed to properly support the interior high impact drywall assembly to provide an attractive interior space.
•  The Amenities area ground floor includes meeting rooms, change rooms and mech/elec. room.  The second floor includes cafeteria, meeting rooms and exercise rooms.
